7-Way And 4-Pole Mounting Bracket Recommendation For A 2018 GMC Sierra Van

Question:

I have a 2018 GMC Savana van and need to have the trailer plug changed so it goes horizontal not down at an angle. The plug is mounted presently to a bracket on the tow bar. The reason for this change is I have the Echo brake controller and it needs to be plugged it to the vehicle trailer plug not an extension cord. If it is plugged into the trailer plug now the angle puts it to close to the ground. Is the HM40978 mounting bracket the best solution?
