Replacing the Factory Brake Controller on a 2017 Ram 3500

I have a 17 ram 3500 with the factory controler will can I take it out and put the red44fr in its place

Yes, you can replace your 2017 Ram 3500's factory brake controller with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite item # RED44FR. You will also want the Redarc Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness item # 331-TPH-020. This will allow you to plug directly into your trucks brake controller port and avoid having to cut or splice wires.
An aftermarket brake controller will not function properly unless you have the dealer remove the factory integrated brake controller (ITBC) from the computer.
