How to Tell if Lippert SolidSteps for for 29" to 36" Wide RV Door Frames Will Fit RV

Question:

Will the 30” SolidStep Quad fit my 2016 Jayco Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS 5th Wheel so that the door will close? There appears to be space between the door and the threshold, except that there is a lip on the exterior of the door that overlaps the bottom of the door frame., meaning you could not extend a ruler all the way through to the outside, only as far as the exterior door lip. Hope this makes sense. I note you have a video showing installation on a 2019 Jayco Eagle 5th Wheel with no problem with the door being closed after installation. Thanks for your response.

Fitment of the Lippert SolidSteps will vary from RV to RV so to determine if the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps for 29" to 36" Wide RV Door Frames # LC791575 will work for your application you need to make sure your doorway meets these specs:

Entry height between 35" - 44"
Doorway width 29" - 36"

When it comes to the spacing between your door and threshold you should have a seal of some sort on the bottom of your door frame that can be compressed - meaning the added thickness of the mounting plate should be able to fit just fine with your door closed. There have been times where people have had to trim their screen door a little because it was hanging too low but that isn't the norm to my understanding.
