Wiring Harness and Connector Recommendations to Fit LED Tailgate Lights on a 2013 Nissan Frontier

Question:

I want a T for my truck to connect to the existing trailer rear wiring harness so i can plug in LED light strips on my tail gate...will this work on a 2013?? is there just a T available?

I have a couple of solutions so you can use your LED light strips on your tailgate of your 2013 Nissan Frontier however, the Curt T Connector # C55362 that you referenced is not a fit for your vehicle.

If your truck has a factory 7-way connector and your LED strip has a 4-flat connector, I recommend the Hopkins # 30955. The connector will allow you to keep your 7-way and add the 4-flat so you can connect your LED strip without splicing.

If your LED light strip has a 4-pole connector and your truck does not have a 7-way connector I recommend the Hopkins # HM40975-11998 which is an assembly kit that is hardwired into your vehicle. This comes with the multi-use adapter and mounting plate that accepts both 7 and 4 way plugs so you will be able to tow and also use your LED taillights simultaneously.

I cannot tell from the pictures I have found for 2013 Nissan Frontiers with the factory towing wiring if the 7-way that comes from the factory will fit universal, aftermarket parts.
