Alternative Options To Transport 3 Bikes With A Truck That Has Putco Locker Rails

Question:

Would like to attach bike rack roof mount style to existing Putco Locker rails on truck bed. Rails are 1.75” diameter and distance from outside to outside is 68”. I would probably need crossbars to mount to Putco rails, so do you have any recommendations for something that would work to attach crossbars? For bike rack, something like the Yakima High Road, and would need to mount 3 of them to the crossbars.

As of right now, there isn't a crossbar set that will work with your Putco Locker rails, however I do have a few other solutions.

If you really wanted crossbars, you'd have to use a traditional ladder rack like the Rola Haul-Your-Might T3 Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum # 59799 which already has the crossbars installed,

Or,

If the crossbars aren't a concern you could just use an in-bed bike rack like the:

-Thule Insta-Gater Pro Truck Bed Bike Rack # TH93VR.

This is an in-bed bike rack capable of carrying 1 bike weighing 50lbs, however since you're needing to transport 3 bikes you'd need to use 3 of them.
