Recommended Equalizer Upgrade for East to West Alta 2850KRL

Question:

Hi I am looking at replacing the Equalizer, Shackles and Bolts on my trailer with gear that is more substantial. My installer recommended Road Armor but that doesn’t seem to be an option, so I guess I am limited to Morryde or Dexter. My Dexter axles are rated for 4400 lbs, my Equalizer is stamped 13-104, the dimensions are I = 2”, / \= 3-1/2”, — 5-11/16”. The shackles are 3-1/2” long, 2-1/4” between bolt holes. Wheel base is 33”. The trailer rides level with my stock 2022 RAM 2500 using a WDH so I don’t want to alter that.

The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit part # K71-652-00 is what I recommend for an East to West Alta 2850KRL. This is a complete kit with cushioned equalizers to reduce road shock, heavy duty shackles for increased durability, and wet bolts for easy upkeep. This is a direct bolt-on replacement which won't alter the height of the trailer.
