Can Tailgate Be Lowered Down On Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack

Can you let the tailgate downon a 2001 Silverado when folded forward on the double track pro xt2?

I do have an option for you but if you want to be able to lower the tailgate down with a hitch mounted bike rack, you'll want to go swing-away. I recommend the RockyMounts BackStage Bike Rack for 2 Bikes part # RKY10002 which has a swing-away feature so you can get into the truck bed with the tailgate down without removing the rack.
Unfortunately, the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Rack part # TH92BJ and most like it will not allow for this.
