To install a fifth-wheel hitch in your 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab Pickup with a 5 foot 7 inch bed you will need to use the Universal Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation Kit with Rails, item # RP30035-386, along with a Sidewinder Fifth Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret (see link).

The Sidewinder is designed specifically for short bed pickups less than 6 feet long. This item will give you clearance to maneuver without contact between the trailer loft and the pickup cab. You will need to order the Sidewinder with a rotating turret specific to your fifth-wheel trailer pin box.
