How Does The Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit Work?

Im in the process of planning the installation of a DUO Stay-In-Play, a braking relay, a charge-line kit, and a diode wiring kit on my 2022 Ford Ranger. Instead of just blindly hooking things up, I want to be sure that I understand - am I correct in assuming that the brake relay simply disconnects the trucks brake wiring to the tail lights when the relay is energized? 2nd Q? The relay is rated for continuous duty?

Yes that's correct. The purpose of a brake light relay kit # RM-88400 is to prevent your turn signal from getting overridden by the brake signal. So it'll close the brake signal circuit when you're turning, instead of having the turn signal being superseded.

To answer your second question, yes this kit is rated for continuous duty, however relays are still only rated for a finite amount of times they can open and close.
