Troubleshooting a Stop/Haz Fuse Blowing on a 1995 Chevy 1 Ton Truck

Question:

I have a1995 Chevy 1 ton and the stop/haz fuse keeps blowing out win you step on the brake peddle but the flashers do not blow the fuse . I did not have this problem before I pulled this one trailer for someone. The electric brake box lights up the brakes with out the fuse.

I would check the 7-way of your 1995 Chevy 1 ton Truck, it sounds like something might be shorting out there since the problem appeared after towing a trailer. I would check for corrosion or exposed wire there and fix as necessary. You could also check the brake switch wire from your brake controller, there could be a short there too since the problem seems to only arise when the brakes are applied.
