Can Hub Be Replaced on Old Cement Mixer

Question:

Have an old cement mixer with a 1.37 straight axle. Need a trailer idler hub. Bolt pattern does not matter as I will need to get a wheel and tire to fit what ever hub will work on this axle. Seems the Replacement Trailer Hub Bearing - L68149 is a perfect fit but would need this bearing inside and out. Hoping you may have a solution. Thank you

I have a solution for you but it looks like there aren't any hubs that use the L68149 bearing for the inner and outer positions. Because of this you'll want to use a different axle system so you can find parts that work but also update your cement mixer to more modern parts so it will be easier to maintain the axles in the future.

We have some standard axles but what you may find easier to use and install is the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System with Hubs # A20RS545. This is a bit easier to setup since you won't be dealing with hangers and leaf springs - the Axle-Less system uses AEON springs that are connected to the mounting brackets so it's a much simpler system.

Attached is a link to an installation video of this system as well as a link to our selection of replacement axles for you to check out.
