How Mounting Bolts of K-Source # KS62075-76GE Are Connected to Mirror Housing
Question:
I bought a cheaper version of these mirrors and the mounting screws are just glued to the metal structure inside the mirror. Are your version the same way or are they studs, dont know if its a gm thing because my stock mirrors have the screws glued onbreakaway instead of damaging the door? Im afraid of pulling on the mirror to extend it and ripping it off the truck, thanks.

I just completed a phone call to my contact in the engineering department at K-Source.
The mounting screws are not epoxied or glued into place. Actually, they are metal studs that are screwed into the metal base for a super-strong connection. You will have no worries of the mirror becoming detached from the truck when you go to extend the mirror.
