Can The Lock Assembly Be Replaced On A Sears Sport 15-CAV Cargo Carrier?

I bought this cargo carrier and the lock assy was missing. I contacted your customer service and they told me to purchase a SR03807 lock assy. It came today and after installing will will make contact with the lower plate. Any ideas? different bracket? Thanks

I spoke with Thule and they said that they do not have a lock assembly available for the Sears Sport cargo carriers since all of those cargo carriers were manufactured with a riveted lock assembly, which has never been an available part.
The Replacement Lock Core and Key for SportRack Explorer Cargo Box # SR03807 that you were advised to purchase will only work with the Sidekick Carrier TH682 which is no longer available.
Seeing as though you can't get a replacement lock, you may consider upgrading your cargo carrier.
