Recommended Air Springs For A 2015 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4 wheel drive truck. When I attach my 6,500 lb camper to my truck, the rear of the truck sags a lot and I sometimes will bottom out when I am backing into my driveway. I see that part # AL88204 has a capacity of 5,000lbs. Even though my camper is 6,500lbs, will the #AL88204 work for what I need? Thanks for any response!

Yes, The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Plus Air Springs # AL88204 will work when towing your 6,500 pound trailer, and is confirmed to fit your 2015 GMC Sierra 1500.

Using these air bags will reduce the strain on your rear suspension, increase the safety, and compensate for uneven loads. Inside the air springs there is a jounce spring that will help improve ride comfort, reduce sway, and help with cornering. It will engage at a lower air pressure which will better absorb road shock and minimize bottoming out.

The air bags are made out of a 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber which are durable. The airbags adjustable air pressure is 5 psi to 100 psi.

When servicing your truck with Air Lift air springs installed, if the truck is lifted by the frame, the air must be let out of the springs. If the rear of the truck is lifted during service, then it must be supported by jack stands to avoid damage to the air springs.
