Replacing A Dometic 13,500 Btu AC Unit In A 2003 Keystone Montana 3295RK

Question:

We have a 2003 Keystone Montana model 3295RK and cant figure out what the ducted roof A/C unit is that we need to replace. Capacitors are good but the blower motor might be bad. This old, wed like to replace it. What wed love is to replace it and add another A/C in the bedroom non-ducted. But just replacing the existing one would be good! Can you please advice on ducted roof A/C products for our unit? Wed love one that will not require us to purchase the SoftStart thingie separately. Looks like Furrion might not have something like that built in? Also, we need suggestions for how to get a 100 pound thing up onto the roof. No RV service is nearby but we have a very good handyman to help us. Thank you! Sweating a bit while awaiting your reply. Hope youre keeping cool. :

I spoke to a representative from Keystone RV and I found out your 2003 Keystone Montana 3295RK came with a 13,500 Btu air conditioner unit. It is wired to run only one ac unit, not two. We have an Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Dometic Setup w/ Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu - White, part # ACDOM135, which is a replacement for a Dometic setup. It includes the SoftStart capacitor.

With regard to lifting it onto the roof of your Montana, Home Depot rents a Material Lift that will lift up to 450 lbs. It can be operated by one person and it will fit into a pickup truck or van. They will lift items up to 12', which should be enough for your Keystone Montana since it is just below 12' tall without the AC unit. You might look into renting a scissor lift as well.

I have included a product description link below.
