Recommended Weight Distribution System For A 2013 Keystone Laredo TT

Question:

I have a 36ft 2013 keystone Laredo travel trailer. The dry weight is 7565 lb, payload capacity 1,435lb, GVWR 9,000lb, and hitch weight 880lb. I am pulling it with a 2500 Dodge Ram. What kind of equalizer hitch would you recommend I buy? I am looking for something easy to hook up to once installed, and obviously works well. Thank you for your time,

Great question!

For your 2013 Keystone Laredo TT, I recommend taking a look at the:

-Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RE44FR.

This WDS has a maximum towing weight capacity of 11,500, a maximum tongue weight range of 600-1,150lbs, and also has integrated sway control brackets to eliminate side to side motion of the trailer.

You are just going to need to verify that your trailer's total tongue weight (TTW) is within that range specified above, and you'll be good to go. Your TTW is the tongue weight of a fully loaded, ready to go trailer plus all the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle.

With that being said, typically it's best to find a system that has your TTW somewhere in the middle of the range, which is another reason why # RE44FR will work great for you.

This system is also easy to setup and will just bolt around your trailer's frame for installation of the L brackets, so no need to drill through your nice trailer.

Finally, if your TTW turns out to be higher let me know, and I'd be happy to help you find something.
