What do I need to install the brake control on a 2018 Dodge Ram Tradesmen truck? I’ve checked with the local parts houses and none of them have anything available and can’t find anything on their computer for that modrl.

It looks like you already have the factory towing package for your 2018 Ram truck, so the hard part is taken care of.

From here all you would need is to pick out a brake controller, and it's corresponding wiring adapter.

If you're unsure, the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR, with the plug-and-play wiring adapter # 331-TPH-020 is a fantastic option.

Among other things, one of my favorite features of this brake controller is its simplicity, and it non-obstructive, compact, design.

When installed, all that is exposed is a small control know, keeping your interior looking clean and neat.

Additionally, this brake controller is designed for trailers with up to 2 axles or 4 braking assemblies, and can be mounted at any angle, and will still accurately sense the deceleration of your vehicle.

Finally, to really seal the deal, you can also install the Mounting Panel for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controller Control Knob # 331-TPSI-002, which in my opinion, really ties it all together.
