Can Blue Ox Swaypro for 2,000 lb Tongue Weight be Used with 650 lb Tongue Weight

Question:

Have a blue ox swaypro hitch. Loaded tongue weight of trailer is 650-700lb. trailer is 7000lb. hitch came with 2000 lb bars. Would this affect sway and trailering being that it is 1250lb over on tongue weight?

If you use a weight distribution system that is rated way higher like what you mentioned you'll end up with a very harsh ride quality. Best option would be two swap out the spring bars for lighter rated ones like with the part # BXW4006 which is rated for between 550 and 750 lbs.
