Can Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System Be Used on a 40' Towable RV
Question:
I have a pull behind RV that is 40foot from hitch to bumper. Will this transmit reliably over that length or will it require a booster? The RV is wood framed with aluminum siding. I am looking for a system that will allow me to see the traffic around the trailer so I can merge/change lanes more comfortably. Thanks

The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ Side Marker Light Cameras # FCE48TASL-05 is a fantastic system unless you have a longer RV like we find in your situation. It will work-ish but since there isn't a transmitter we need to look at a wired system to ensure you get a consistent signal so you can safely navigate traffic.
For this I recommend Rear View Safety Backup Camera System - 4 Camera Setup - Quad View Monitor # RVS-062710 along with the Trailer Tow Quick Connect/Disconnect Kit # RVS-2133. This gives you a way to have 3 cameras set up on your 40' RV and then set up the 4th camera somewhere on your tow vehicle or simply keep as an extra. The quick connect-disconnect kit makes it very simple to couple and uncouple your tow vehicle and trailer sides of the camera system once you have everything installed and in place.
