I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET for towing your 7,000lb trailer. This hitch system is rated for a trailer up to 10,000lbs with 600-1,000lbs of tongue weight. The Equal-i-zer hitch provides you with 4-point sway control to keep your trailer traveling straight. It will also distribute the weight evenly across your Ram 2500 so the rear suspension does not sag and lift the front end off the ground causing diminished braking and light steering feel.

I find the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs for Underslung # SS33HR or Overslung # SS26MV axles help to absorb a much of the road shock that would normally transfer through the trailer suspension and into your Ram. It can also help to maintain the level side to side on the travel trailer with uneven loads.
