Tandem Fishing Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Adarac Ladder Rack on 2018 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

What kayak carrier/s can I use? I have an aluminum Adarac rack on a 2018 GMC Sierra 6 6 bed. I want to cary 2 tandem yaks if possible. One is a feelfree lure II and one is Rustler weighing 70lbs. Will be towing a Travel trailer.

The great thing about the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A24FR you have on the 6-1/2' bed of your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 is that the crossbars measure 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" so they are compatible with basically any kayak carrier that uses a clamping mounting hardware.

For your application I recommend going with the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier # e98878 for each kayak. Our carrier has a 150 lb weight capacity and fits up to 3-1/8" wide x 1-1/2" tall crossbars so it will be perfect for your kayaks. By using 2 carriers you'll be able to either have them closer together or further out towards the sides of your crossbars if that's better for your loading situation.
