Will Aries Pro Series Grille Guard Interfere with Camera and Sensor on 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD PRO

Question:

So I have a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD pro edition and these have front cameras and different sensors right in the front so I’m trying to figure out if you have one that fits mine that won’t interfere with that sensor and front camera. I don’t know if any of you looked at the front end of a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD pro but if you look up close even on the internet you’ll see that there’s one camera right on top of the grill there and then there’s like a glass portion under the grill that supposed to be where the safety radar and sensors are. Because I would love a grill guard that works.

Great question, and it's one we get fairly often when it comes to grille guards. From what I can see it looks like the camera and sensor you're talking about may not be covered by the grille guard, but the guard may still interfere with those functions since you'll be putting a big metal piece directly in front of them.

We had the opportunity to install the Aries Pro Series Grille Guard with Mesh LED Cover Plate # AAP2068 on a 2019 Toyota Tacoma which I'm linking an installation video and photo for you to check out. This guard is the same as the part # AA66VB you're looking at except it doesn't come with the LED light bar.

There was a change in the front style of the Tacoma line from our 2019 to the 2022 model you're talking about but the attached photo will give you a good idea of where the openings on the grille guard will be. So it looks like the bars won't be directly in front of the camera and sensor you're talking about but I have no way to guarantee these will work perfectly with the guard installed since we haven't had a chance to test them.
