When it comes to choosing between the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control # C17499 and the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET you'll want to take a couple of things into consideration:
1. Both systems have integrated sway control.
2. Both systems have a no-drill installation.
&
3. Both systems are rated for about the same, with one system having a maximum tongue weight range of 500-800lbs, and the other at 600-1,000lbs.
However what sets one apart from the other is, the Curt # C17499 does not use a traditional washer design to achieve desired tilt. Curt's system features an adjustable head, so you do not need to pile washer after washer to get the tilt needed.
Additionally, the Equal-i-Zer # EQ37100ET is also compatible with surge-type brake actuators, so if that's something you have, and need compatibility with, then the Equal-i-Zer is the one for you.
Finally, if you're just having trouble deciding what system you need in the first place based off of the weight capacity, you'll need to weight your trailer tongue with everything loaded up and ready to go.
You can use a scale like # e99044 to help you determine this figure. Once this is figured out, you'll want to choose a system that has your tongue weight right in the middle.
