Does the Anti Drain Back Valve Keep the Oil From Draining Into the Crankcase When Engine is Off

Question:

Will the anti drain back valve in the filter keep the oil in the oil cooler when the engine is off instead of draining into the crankcase?D25732 adapter with fram ph3950 filter

Expert Reply:

My technical contact at Derale told me that the purpose of the anti drain back valve is to try and keep the oil IN the filter after the engine is stopped, therefore, having the valve will keep the oil from draining into your crankcase.

I have the instructions for the Derale Sandwich Adapter # D25732 attached for you.
