When it comes to adding a wind fairing to your factory crossbars on your 2008 Toyota Highlander I recommend The AirScreen XT for Thule Crossbars - 38 inch Long # TH72WV.
This universal fairing deflects wind over your roof rack to drastically reduce noise and drag. It has an easy, tool-free installation onto your front crossbar. Using the around-the-bar clamps will not interfere with T-track access.
The fairing has padded rubber bumpers that help protect the vehicle's roof from scratches and abrasions. It has a nylon and polycarbonate construction that is strong and durable.
