Could Thule Hideaway Awning Fit on 2016 R-Pod 179

Question:

Is it possible to wall mount a Thule hideaway awning on an older 2016 R Pod 179? I’ve heard that the wall framing is inadequate. Would the interior and exterior plywood offer enough support if the brackets were through-bolted? If so, Is there room for the 10’ or is 8’ the biggest that would fit?

The Thule HideAway Awning - Wall Mount # TH490011 that you referenced was designed to attach to a van wall and we've had customers attach it to the side of trailer walls in the past and it worked well for them. Now whether your wall is strong enough to handle the weight of the awning that's hard to say for sure. I am sure there would be a way to reinforce it. If the walls have interior and exterior plywood panels like you mentioned that would certainly be strong enough. In this style of awning we only have the 8 foot wide option available.
