Lock Recommendation for Use with Pro Series Thumb Latch Style Coupler
Question:
Any other suggestions for locking this coupler? The 7/8inch Wide Trailer Coupler Latch Lock by Master Lock Item # 2878DAT is what i have now but its a tight fit because the hole it goes through is close to the body of the coupler. The idea of sliding the latch back to give more room doesnt seem like a good idea because one can then hook it up. One thing i should mention is that i have a knack of taking the lock off and putting it on the bumper while unhooking. Did that a couple of days ago and found it on the street but not before it got run over and damaged. So it gets expensive...lol

We've seen the butterfly style of coupler lock like the Tow Ready # 3008 work really well on the thumb latch style couplers like Pro Series part # PSA265S0303 that you referenced. This would be a really great choice. I can't guarantee it would hold up well to get run over though!
