How To Increase The Tension Of A Solera RV Window Awning Roller Tube Spring
Question:
How do you correctly adjust the spring tension? While driving In winds, my awnings will partly open and then “slap” against the sides of the rv. Or, is there a suggested mechanical restraint that can be used?

To increase the tension of your Solera RV Window Awning # LC43VR you'll need to remove the screws that hold the end caps onto the arms and twist the endcaps (as pictured below) to increase the tension on the spring. You'll need to have a firm grip on the roller and endcaps as the tension will unravel when the endcap is removed from the arms.
