How To Identify Fifth Wheel Bolt Pattern on a DRV Mobile Suites 40 KSSB4 5th Wheel

Question:

good morning, I have a 2021 DRV mobile suites 40kssb 5th wheel. It weights loaded about 20,500 lbs. The king pin is under the front of the 5th wheel body about 20 inches. My tow vehicle is a 1999 freightliner sport chassis. there is about 43 foot between the center of the Reese 24,000 lb hitch and the closest part of the bed behind the cab. When I try to make a semi- sharp right or left turn the outside corner structure of the bed hits the upper body of the coach. Because of the weight of the 5th wheel will the sidewinder pin box fit and is it strong enough to tow this amount of weight? please let me know so I can get this corrected.

There is not a cross reference for 5th Wheel RV's that allows me to look up what pin box you have on your DRV Mobile Suites 40 KSSB4 5th Wheel. To replace your pin box you need to know what bolt pattern you have, this is expressed as a 4 digit number. Please look on the currently installed pin box for identification markings/stickers to discover what pin box you currently have. Note the linked article that will step you through how to measure the bolt pattern if there are no identifying markings to determine what is installed. Once we know the pin box bolt pattern we can identify a replacement that will work.

For example, the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret, # RP34FR that you linked to, fits Fabex/M&M 663 and 665 models as well as the Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD models.
