Installation of the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs on a 2000 Jeep Tj
Question:
I have 2000 Jeep Tj w/ 2.5inch lift. I have purchased both the AL60811 Air Lift and Al52420 Spacer. The Air Lift 1000 instruction call for drilling a 0.75inch hole in the top of the spring perch for air stem clearance. However, the Al52420 Spacer Only has a 0.375inch hole in top and bottom for the the same thing. Do the spacer holes. need to be enlarged to 0.75? Also the Al52420 instruction show bolting the spacer to a metal plate. How is the spacer attached in my application?

You don't need the Air Lift Universal Air Spring Spacers item # AL52420 so you can return them. They don't work with the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear item # AL60811. Those only work for the LoadLifter 5000 and 7500XL air systems. The Air Helper Springs you ordered fit inside the coil springs and do not require spacers to work. These air springs fill with air and expand into your coils to offer support to your suspension. The protective plate that comes with the kit will fit on the bottom and not need to be drilled into. I hope this helps!
