Troubleshooting An iRV25 RV Stereo That Suddenly Picked Up A Lot Of Static
Question:
My radio on FM has all of a sudden picked up a lot of static. I believe this may be due toi the antenna. How can I check this and if this is the isue what do you recommend to overcome this? The unit is mounted in a Forest River trailer. It was working fine until recently coming out of storage.

I took a look at your iRV RV Stereo # 292-101809, and the reason you're getting static, is due to an issue with your antenna.
What you can do is visibly check your antenna to see if it's broken. or not fully extended. You'll also want to verify that your antenna is properly grounded at it's mounting location. All of these factors can attribute to your radio picking up static.
If your antenna still fails to function after the above troubleshooting, then your next course of action is to replace the antenna.
