Best Suspension Enhancement For 2007 Chevy Suburban 1500 For Towing
Question:
After reading a lot of your articles I am having more trouble than before deciding which way to go. Sumospring, timbren or Firestone air bag. 07 suburban 1500. 4400 dry trailer with weight distributing hitch. Leveled trailer and got height of coupler. Put on hitch and tightened hitch springs so trailer was level within 1/2 inch. Used more links on hitch springs than expected and now front of suburban is higher but ball is at point to level trailer. Still getting a bit of swaying. Trying to figure out which of the above is best way to go to get rid of swaying and squat. Our last vehicle was 1 Ton van, wish I still had it.

The best option for helping get your 2007 Chevy Suburban 1500 level and helping remove the squat while are the Firestone coil springs, with the correct part number for your Suburban being the following:
- Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs # F4108
The Coil-Rite # F4108 install inside your Suburban's coil springs, and when you inflate them your springs become more effective, cushioning the load to help level you out, improve stability, and also reduce body roll. This is particularly true when towing, as the springs will engage so your front wheels will make more contact with the ground (as opposed to being slightly lifted due to the weight in the back), which greatly improves overall handling. To make running the air lines easier, I do recommend adding the Union Tee for 1/4" Air Lines # AL21838.
I also recommend considering a compressor to make it simpler to inflate and maintain the air pressure in the springs. While not absolutely necessary, this will allow you to get the best air pressure at all times right from the cab of your Suburban so you don't have to make extra stops at a gas station to add air. You can do this with the wireless Air Command Compressor System # F2610.
