Troubleshooting Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller All Trailer Lights Flash

Question:

Previously, on my old car all trailer lights worked properly. I recently installed a new prodigy 3 brake controller on a new 2022 sequoia. I also used the Tekonsha wire adapter recommended by the tech support for my vehicle. I connected the brake controller as described as well as the white ground cable to a ground with other wires in the kick panel. We connect the trailer via a 7-way plug. When I put the flashers on, all trailer lights flash. Turn signal either side causes both back lights to flash. I had my friend hook up his truck to my trailer and the lights work perfectly. If I unplug the adapter, I still have the issue. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

When it comes to all you trailer lights flashing when you turn on the turn signals it sounds like there is a loose wire or a blown fuse on the vehicle's side. I recommend checking the circuits on your 2022 Toyota Sequoia using The Hook Probe Circuit Tester Kit # PTW2993 which finds electrical shorts, checks polarity and will test voltages.
