Troubleshooting A Power Supply That Will Not Switch From Shore Power To Generator Power
Question:
When I go from my shore line to generator I do not have any power The generator runs and produces 147 volts My power converter is a BW manufacture Series 6300 Model 6345 In a 1987 coachman rv Is it possible the switch is bad? The converter makes 12 volt power when plugged In To the shoreline

If your generator is running at 147v that sounds like your generator is running too high and the voltage needs to be adjusted.
Additionally, if you have no already, check the generator breakers and see if they've been tripped. If they have tripped, reset the breaker back to the ON position and check again for functionality.
If your breakers are fine, then most likely the ATS is your issue, and at that point you'll need to have a qualified service professional come and check your ATS out.
The last thing you'll want to check is your wiring connections. Mae sure that no wires are loose or damaged as this also may be causing your ATS to malfunction.
