Is A Charge Line Kit Needed To Flat Tow A 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Installing a wire with a fuse to power the power steering while flat towing. I was told the battery will go dead after 3 hrs of traveling . True or false

Since we don't carry the Mopar wiring harness you're installing I don't know exactly how it draws power to run your power steering. Most likely it will be drawing from your battery so a battery charge line kit like # RM-156-25 would be necessary to prevent your Jeep's battery from draining.

In all honesty it's always best to install one to avoid any issues while you're out towing. There's nothing worse than unhooking and then realizing your vehicle's battery is dead and now you have to try to jump it out at the campsite.

If your motorhome doesn't already have a wire ran for this you'll also want the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75.
