Awnings like the Solera 12V XL Power RV Awning # LCV000334919-362241 aren't really intended for use on the side of a sprinter van but if you could still technically install it on your 2006 Dodge Sprinter. The arms of the awning will need to be bolted into studs and needs to sit on a flat surface so you'll most likely need to do a lot of modification to your van to safely install this.
Typically most van owners use the Thule HideAway Awning # TH490011, as it's specifically designed for this type of application. I recommend this option over the Lippert awning to avoid all the extra work and liability in the event there's an issue with the awning.
