Best Suspension Enhancement For a 2018 Toyota Tundra When Towing a 2021 Lance Travel Trailer

Question:

Do yo have a video showing how to install this product on my 2018 SR5 2WD Tundra? I tow a 2021 Lance TT, 4700# dry , 7000# fully loaded. The back end sags about 3”-4” when loaded and the front raises about 2”. I notice some bobbing on the Highway at 55-65mph. This looks like a simpler DIY than the Firestone Ride Rites system and the reviews say many like the Timbrens over the air suspension. Do you agree?

The best thing you can install for towing your 2021 Lance travel trailer is a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET. This will help you to level your 2018 Toyota Tundra and with the addition of sway control it will help keep your trailer tracking straight behind your Tundra. This particular hitch is rated for trailers up to 10,000lbs with a tongue weight of 600-1,000lbs. You will be able to use it with different trucks and trailers so you will not have to get a different suspension helper every time you trade in a vehicle.

A 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 is needed to install the 2-5/16" hitch ball that comes with the weight distribution hitch.

If you also carry heavy loads on occasion in your truck bed the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-610-47 would be the route I recommend going. The SumoSprings are more forgiving when unloaded and will not give you a harsh ride when you are not hauling additional loads. I find the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System # T62FR works best on vehicles that always have the additional weight on the suspension like service trucks. The process for the Timbren springs is very similar as we do not have a video for those currently available.
