Selecting the Correct Fastway Weight Distribution Hitch For 2023 Forest River Grey Wolf 25RRT
Question:
I will hopefully be picking up my new 2023 Forest River Grey Wolf 25RRT in a couple of weeks. Ive been looking at getting the Fastway 800 lb # FA92-00-0800. I spoke with the manufacturer and they said that its rated for up to 800lbs with no issue. My question for you guys is: Should I go with the that one or bump up to the 1000 lb model? Would that be overkill? Its just going to be the me, the wifey, a 500lb bike, and some stuff.

As your 2023 Forest River Grey Wolf 25RRT has a dry tongue weight of 690lbs I would recommend moving up to the 1,000lb Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-1000. This hitch is rated for tongue weights of 600-1,000lbs and a maximum trailer weight up to 10,000lbs. With the 800lb Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800 rated for trailers with 400-800lbs of tongue weight you are more likely to exceed the tongue weight capacity of this hitch when you have your gear loaded.
You will need a 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6100 and 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to install the hitch ball.
