Measurement of Assembled SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs TSS-107-40

Question:

Considering Sumo Springs TSS-107-40. For a Jayco 28 travel trailer. I have 5.75 clearance as it sits level, from top of leaf bracket to underside of frame. Nowhere can I find the height of fully assembled spring set up. I think this is a couple inches too tall, and I read that we can cut springs, but voids the warranty, which is not a good answer. Is it ok to initially compress the springs more than the recommended half-ish inch to start?

From the top of your U-Bolt plate to the top of the spring, the measurement is 6-3/4" with both spacers, 6-1/4" with one spacer, or 5-3/4" with no spacers for the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-107-40.

Since you want to set up the # TSS-107-40 to be 1/4" to 1/2" taller than your initial measurement (you will not initially compress the springs) you will be able to use these, and one spacer will do the trick, as that will be 1/2" more than your 5-3/4" measurement.
