Can Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch Be Powered By AC Outlet In Ford F-150?
Question:
Can a F150 truck AC outlet power a 1500 watt winch? I tried to use the trucks AC outlet. However, whenever I start the winch, it powers off. Can anything be done to make it work?

Winches such as the Superwinch LT2000 ATV Winch # 1120210 you were asking about are powered by the battery (DC) power of your F-150, and cannot be powered off an AC outlet.
Doing so can damage the winch, so you will need to rewire the winch directly to your battery and test its function. If it does not work check that the included circuit breaker is allowing power back to the winch, and if it is but the winch still does not work then it needs to be replaced.
