Best Weight Distribution System for a 2020 Forest River Wildwood FSX 179dbk
Question:
I have a 2021 Chevy Tahoe and I tow a 2020 Forest River Wildwood FSX 179dbk. I think I need a weight distribution system because on our last trip out I was getting beaten all over the highway every time I got passed by a semi.

It definitely sounds like you are having some issues with sway. It looks like your 2020 Forest River Wildwood FSX 179dbk has a maximum capacity of 5,000 lbs. With this in mind the tongue weight is typically 10% - 15% of the total weight of your trailer. You will want a weight distribution system that has a tongue weight range of at least 500 lbs to 750 lbs. I recommend the Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control item # RE94FR. This system has built in sway control that will keep your trailer in line with your Tahoe when you are being passed on the highway or driving in high winds.
If you need a 2" ball the Curt 2" Hitch Ball - 1-1/4" Diameter x 2-5/8" Long Shank # C69FR will definitely be a great choice for this system.
I also recommend the Classic Accessories Tow Bar and Weight Distribution Tote item # CA80113. This heavy duty bag is perfect for storing your weight distributing hitch. It is 36" x 11" Wide x 8" Tall and has padding that prevents damage to your hitch and prevents dings to your vehicle's cargo area from shifting gear.
