When Replacing Electric Jacks My Brake Light Stays On And My Blinker Stopped Working
Question:
I cut the wire to my electric jack to replace it with a bulldog jack, Ive notice that my back left light brake stays on and the left blinker does not blink, and could that be related to cutting the electric Jack wire? The wire is connected directly into the positive terminal.

It's possible, however It sounds like you may have a short somewhere in your wiring. I recommend inspecting your vehicle side & trailer side connectors for rust, debris, or corrosion.
If your connectors are dirty, clean them out and see if the problem persists. If it does, continue troubleshooting by tracing your wiring back from the vehicle connector, and look for frays or damaged wire along the way.
Finally, the last area to check is your grounds. Make sure your grounds are clean, secured to a bare metal surface on your trailer frame, and are not loose. If they are dirty clean them, and if they are not secured appropriately to a suitable part of the frame, re-ground them accordingly.
If you are still having an issue, let me know and we can continue troubleshooting. I have also attached a troubleshooting guide that should answer some more questions you may have.
