Airbags or RAS System on a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500

Question:

I haul a 38ft bumper pull hitch weight 1,200 pounds and UVW weight is 9,088. Currently driving a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 and was wondering if I should buy the RAS system or the FIRESTONE DOUBLE CONVOLUTED AIR BAGS. Need more opinions on what to buy. Live in my camper full time and am traveling for work through the Midwest constantly.

I would be happy to help you. Since you essentially live in your 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 I recommend going with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2613 over the RoadActive Suspension item # RAS3611-HD. The Firestone air bags will provide you with better cushioning and road shock absorbing support than the RAS system. You will also be able to adjust the air in each bag individually using an onboard air compressor like the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs item # AL74000EZ. By adding an air compressor to your system you will be able to adjust your suspension to get side-to-side leveling of off-center loads. I have linked a couple of installation and review videos below so you can see how these products install and what their individual functions and capabilities are.
