Can I use a rocky mount on my Subaru Forester for 2 bikes? I have an adapter for the hitch that is already on my car taking it to 2? Is this okay? I like the fold down option allowing me to open my hatch

Using an adapter on your 2021 Subaru Forester reduces your vehicle's maximum tongue weight of 50%. Your vehicle has a maximum gross trailer weight of 1,500 lbs. This means your maximum tongue weight is 150 lbs. Using the adapter reduces it to 75 lbs. You will be better served going with a 1-1/4" hitch bike rack, so you can use the entire 150 lbs tongue weight.
