When you flat tow your 2004 Jeep Wrangler, you'll be connected to your tow vehicle via a 6-way cable located in the front, and not at the rear.

With that being said, all you'll need for flat towing wiring, is a kit like the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-98146-7.

This kit will include everything needed to give your vehicle a 6-way connector which will provide your toad with your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights.

At the rear of the vehicle, if you don't already, you'll need a set of trailer wiring.

You may also need a ball mount kit # C45554 which will include everything you'll need to get towing with your trailer! I do also recommend verifying that the ball mount in the kit has the correct rise/drop needed for your application. I have included a FAQ that goes into a bit more detail about this for you to check out.

Finally, if you're interested in a complete flat towing setup, you're also going to need:

-A base plate like # RM-521424-5,

-A set of tow bars like # e74ZR,

&

-A braking system like # HM39524.

I recommend taking a look at the the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118409. This wiring kit will easily plug in line to your vehicles' OEM wiring harness and provide your vehicle with a standard 4-pole trailer hookup.

Additionally, you generally won't be flat towing and towing a trailer at the same time as it is usually illegal in most states.
