Bike Rack For Two E-Bikes For Back of Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2022 Grand Design travel trailer 22RBE with anti-sway hitch. I need to haul 2 Rad Rover 6 e-bikes 65-70 lb each. I planned to add a bolt-on receiver to the trailer bumper. I was looking at the Hollywood RV Rider as a rack, but noted that it is not rated for travel trailers. Is this a real problem, or do I need an alternative rack I have not found anything rated for a travel trailer that also has the weight capacity to handle the Rads? The trailer mgf does not recommend exceeding 300lb on the bumper, but that should be easy to accommodate. thanks for the help.

There is indeed one bike rack that you can get that will both accommodate your 65 lb to 70 lb electric bikes that is also rated for use behind a travel trailer, and that is a rack from Let's Go Aero:

- Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # LGA77FR

The V-Lectric # LGA77FR has a 75 lb per-bike capacity, works with tires up to 4-1/2 inches wide and bikes with a wheelbase up to 50 inches, specs that your Rad Rover 6 ebikes fall into based on my research.

It also comes with locks to keep the racks and your bikes safe, and grasps your bikes by the tires and not the frame, which is not only good for your bikes, but also means if your bikes have fenders, you can still use this rack without issue. The V-Lectric even has a shank with a 6 inch rise, which is really nice for the back of a travel trailer which can sit pretty low.

The rack weighs 75 lbs, so even with a pair of 70 lb bikes on it, you are still well under the 300 lb weight limit of your bumper.
