Recommended Replacement of Furrion DV1200

Question:

Hi I have a DV1200 double DIN that the LCD display died. Doing a reset worked one time, lasted a month. Then died again and reset does not activate the LCD. Any ideas to activate LCD? 1. The current in-cabinet cut out is 9.09 inch wide and 5.44 inch tall. Lots of room behind. What would be a good replacement fit? The current Furrion DV1230 requires a cut out of 6.94 wide by 4 inch tall. 2. Is the DV1230 a good replacement? Are wiring plugs the same/similar? Or do I have to splice wires? 3. How is the sound quality of the DV1230 compared to the DV1200? Is there a better sounding unit? I like good reproduction from TV and from CD/DVD. I currently have 3-zone stereo speakers and use subwoofer zone A. Use optical in from TV. Thanks for suggestions.

I suggest you replace your current unit. The Furrion RV Stereo, # DV1230BL is a good option as a replacement for your current DV1200 and a rather straight forward installation. It is not however a direct plug-in installation as the plugs are different. The complete Instruction Manual is linked below.

This has a 3-Zone output that allows for up to 6 speakers and does have a connection for a subwoofer.

This requires a cutout of 5-1/2" deep x 6-15/16" wide x 4" tall. The faceplate is 9-13/16" wide x 4-13/16" tall x 3/4" thick.
