Recommended Hitch for Travel Trailer

Question:

I am wanting to add a hitch yo my travel trailer. It has the i-Beam. It measures around 73 1/2 from beam center to the other. What do you have that will work? I want to tow a 5x8 trail with a golf cart. Probably around 1500 lbs. Thanks

I have a possible solution for you but, I highly recommend that you first verify regulations in your area of travel for legality of triple towing with travel trailer. It is common in many locations for triple towing, if legal, to be restricted to 5th wheel RV's and not allowed with bumper pull/mounted travel trailers.

I suggest you check with your travel trailers manufacturer for the tow rating on your bumper, if you meet the needed rating, I suggest the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, # E-100. This is intended for use on 4" square channel bumpers on the rear of many RVs and towable campers. The rated weight capacity is 3,500 lbs. GTW / 350 lbs. TW.
