Installation of a Tekonsha P-3 Trailer Brake Controller on a 2009 Chevy Tahoe
Question:
I am in need of a brake contoller and was looking at this unit. I know my truck already has the wiring harness under the dash, but I do not know if I need a wiring harness adapter from stock harness to the P3 unit.

The Tekonsha P-3, item # 90195, is an excellent brake controller. Your brake controller wiring will be under the dash below the steering column a bit to the left. There is no connector so you will not need an adapter. You will connect the wires directly to the Tekonsha Harness. There will be a group of wires with a white tag on it that is used to connect the brake controller. We have a video (see link) of a brake controller installation on a 2009 Silverado you can review.
