Installation of Power Wire for ETBC7 on 2018 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

Can I run the black power wire to a 12v cigarette lighter power source in the back of my vehicle? Or does it need to run all the way up to the battery? Thanks!

The black wire on the # ETBC7 should be run to the battery. The 12V cigarette lighter is meant to be used for accessories. Running the wire to your battery ensures that you do not cause any damage to your vehicle wiring if something were to draw too much power.
